Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have an amazing project for you – it’s an Advent Calendar created using those wonderful Mini Pizza Boxes!
This week’s project was created by the creative Jenn Gulch over at Twins & Twine – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has a detailed supply list, step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own!
And here it is…an absolutely beautiful Advent Calendar made using those Mini Pizza Boxes…
If you are behind with your Christmas preparations and want to create a little something super special, this is for you – it’s not too late! OR get ahead on next year and order those Mini Pizza Boxes so that you have enough to create this at your leisure during the year – I know I’m ordering packs of them just so that I can make one of these!
The pizza boxes are hot glued onto a piece of foam board in a 5×5 configuration – make sure to have the bit that opens (with that little finger tab sticking out) at the top for ease of opening like you can see in the top row here…
Isn’t it beautiful? I was with Jenn when she created this and I absolutely loved watching her work on it…the numbers are die cut from black cardstock using those fab Large Numbers Framelits Dies and you can see that they are positioned onto circles of Vellum so that they pop out but you can still see the pretty papers underneath them.
Wrapped all around the edges with extra to hang is the beautiful 7/8″ Striped Ribbon that is wired on the edges making it perfect for a project like this.
There is plenty of room inside the boxes to pop some fun gifts because each is sized 3″ x 3″…
And you can see that it is decorated with all sorts of fun patterned papers and embellishments from the Holiday Catalog – all are listed in the supply list below – anything goes on a fun quilt style project like this!
