Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for February! We have a pretty set of colors to work with this month and the challenge is that we have to use ALL of these colors on our projects – these scream of warmth and love to me – perfect for this time of year!
And so I decided to make a Valentine’s Day card…but I wanted to keep it clean and simple and not girly as it’s for my hubby and this is how it turned out…
I used all four colors and added in some white too for a little definition to make the hearts and sentiment pop out.
The sentiment ‘you are loved’ is from a BRAND NEW UPCOMING FREE SALE-A-BRATION STAMP SET that you will be able to earn for free as part of a bundle starting FEBRUARY 16th – it is called the Blossoming Basket Bundle and in it you get the sweet Blossoming Basket stamp set AND the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder which I used to make my background on this card.
The hearts were cut using dies from Sweet & Sassy Framelits and they are layered onto a Stitched Shapes Circle and then onto a scallop circle…
I love that sentiment and I stamped it in Basic Grey ink and cut it out using a die from Bunch of Banners Framelits. The sweet sparkly glitter dots are from Glitter & Epoxy Shapes and give this card just a touch of non-girly bling!
Here is a close up of that Basket Weave embossed background – it is deep, rich and gorgeous and you are going to NEED it for some fun Easter basket projects!
I hope you enjoyed my card for today and be sure to take the whole hop by using the buttons below to continue in a circle – you can either go backwards to Paola’s blog or forwards to Beverlee’s blog – there are A LOT of pretty cards to give you some inspiration!
