Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a beautiful patriotic paper wreath for you to make just in time for the 4th of July!
This week’s project was created by the fabulously lovely Twila Davis over at Stamp a Little Longer and she came up with this sweet project – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own beautiful project.
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here is what Twila came up with…the most beautiful red, white & blue Paper Cone Wreath! Can you imagine this beauty adorning your front door?
I absolutely LOVE everything about this – the colors, the sparkly star and even the sparklers in a circle underneath the star – everything about this wreath screams of the 4th of July!
The wreath is comprised of cardstock squares that have been rolled into cone shapes and adhered in layers to a central disk and the central white rosette is a piece of white cardstock that has been scored at 1/2″ increments, folded and the ends taped together.
The pop up star has been die cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper using one of the retired Stars Framelits Dies and scored on the reverse side to enable it to ‘pop’ out. It is sat on top of a fun circle of sparklers which really highlights it…just don’t light them on fire!
If you don’t have that retired star die you can use a template or freehand to cut one out.
And here is the finished wreath adorning Twila’s front door…WOW…that’s one pretty patriotic decoration!
Wanting to make one yourself? I know I am – it was love at first sight for me!
