Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for August! We have a very pretty set of colors to work with this month and the challenge is that we have to use ALL of these colors on our projects!
Did you notice that they are all brand new colors to the line up? That made it even more interesting this month along with there being five of them to use!
The first thing I thought of when I saw them is a rainbow and so I decided to incorporate that into my card and this is what I came up with…
A rainbow circle of stars – I love how bright and colorful this is – it just makes me smile when I look at it!
The colorful stars and silver dots were cut out using the new Twinkle Builder Punch and the big central star was stamped using a stamp from the set Little Twinkle and embossed with Silver embossing powder…

As well as the stars I also wanted to incorporate the moon on my card and to get this effect I cut out my silver star and layered it onto a circle of Vellum cardstock…
I then attached that to a circle of Lovely Lipstick patterned paper that I found in the In Color 2018-2020 DSP stack (that paper reminded me of moon craters!) and finally onto a stitched circle of Silver Foil paper…
I wanted some texture so added some ribbon & twine – Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle for a subtle backdrop with Silver Bakers Twine over the top.
And it’s tricky to capture the shine of the silver but here is a side look so you can see the shine of the silver embossing on the main star – it’s very pretty in real life…
