Happy New Year’s Eve!  I hope your evening will be a wonderful one whether you are out with a crowd or curled up indoors with your favorite beverage and people  :-)

I’ve been playing with new goodies from the upcoming Occasions Catalog and wanted to show you a card that I created using Stamps, Dies, DSP and Ribbon from the new ‘How Sweet It Is‘ suite of products that you can find on pg 14…

I must admit it took me a while to get crafty with these stamps & dies because in the catalog the samples shown and colors on the patterned papers are bright and I’m more of a regals kind of a girl and when I realized this is what why I hadn’t dug them out yet, I decided to create a card using them that is more subtle and I think I got it!

The jar stamp is from the set Sweetest Thing and the candies inside are paper pieced from a print found in How Sweet It Is DSP – I added sparkles to parts of the jar using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush…

I used my Paper Piercing Tool to create two little holes through which I tied a Bakers Twine bow and the pink & blue sparkly dots are from Glitter Enamel Dots and they fit in just perfectly!

Panning out, you can see that the background is textured using the pretty Striped Scallops Embossing Folder and the pretty ribbon is Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green Reversible…

I really love how this pretty card turned out and now have lots more ideas for using this fun set…there are THREE different jar shapes in it and I now have bunches more ideas for using them!
