Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and because I know it’s been a long winter for so many of you, I decided to create a little cheerful spring time gifty!
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here it is…it’s a Seed Packet Holder! I wanted to make it bold, bright and make you think of Spring & hopefully it does just that…
The pretty white patterned background you see is cut from a piece of Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty DSP – easy to cut in a paper trimmer – and easy to adhere in place using a Glue Pen. I randomly dotted glue over the bigger bits of the pattern and it all stays in place beautifully…
The ribbon is wrapped around it to hold everything in place and when you undo that knot and take the ribbon away this is what is on the inside…
CUTE!!! I matched the colors I used for this project to the seed pack – Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green – and added a strip of brown cardstock just a bit wider than the holder itself to give a flower pot look.
if you look a bit closer you can see some texture on the bottom section (and on the front of this project too) – I created that using the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder…
That ‘grow’ sentiment is a stamp from one of the Host sets in the Occasions Catalog called Here Comes The Sun – perfect for this project!
Here’s a closer look at the other sentiment on this project – I found it in the All That You Are stamp set featured at the front of the Occasions Catalog and cut it out using a Stitched Shapes Oval die…
Here is one last look – the cute orange butterfly uses stamps from Butterfly Gala and is cut out using the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch…
