Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and I had fun creating something for Easter featuring a cute Easter Bunny!
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here it is…my little Easter Bunny Basket filled with chocolate eggs!
The basket itself is super duper easy to make using the hexagon box die & striped insert die from Window Box Thinlits – you just cut two sets out and with a little bit of modification with your paper trimmer, you will have a basic basket!
Here is a close up of the cute bunny – I stamped him onto Soft Suede cardstock and used the Bunny Builder Punch to cut him out…
His tail is a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper and his ears, tummy, bow tie and the grass were stamped on other colors and cut out with paper snips to paper piece him together – a fantastic alternative if you are not big into coloring images in!
The handle is simply a strip of cardstock covered with a pretty strip of paper from Needlepoint Nook DSP with a button-style white brad to secure it at each end…
Here is a birds eye look down into the basket – the basket is lined with more of that pretty paper and the scalloped top edge is also cut using a die from Window Box Thinlits.
The eggs are contained in a 3×6 Gusseted Cello Bag and topped with a tag and White Bakers Twine – that tag was cut using yet another die from Window Box Thinlits – it is a fantastically versatile set of dies!
Here is one last look – I used Dimensionals on the bunny to make his feet & head ‘pop out’ for a great 3-D look and check out that flower center – simply a Clear Faceted Gem which adds a pretty sparkly touch…
This was so much fun to make – I hope you enjoy making some too!
