Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for April! We have a vibrant set of colors to work with this month and the challenge is that we have to use ALL of these colors on our projects!
And here is how I used them…they sing of Spring to me so I wanted to create something fresh, bold and simple…
I loved working with these fun bright summery colors – so much fun on a dreary day! I used dies from Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies to create these gorgeous butterflies…
The top overlay is one single large die cut piece that I cut out of Basic Black and then used the other large coordinating underlying die to cut the individual bottom pieces out of the three colors.
Here you can see the dies that you get in this set – I used the two big dies that coordinate to get the look I used here today – and they are BIG – as you can see from my card, they are sized to fit a standard card front!
The little butterfly on the tag was created the same way using two small dies in that set but for the bottom layer I used Vellum to give an opaque look.
The tag was stamped using a stamp from the set Butterfly Gala and I cut it out along with the mat underneath the butterflies using the fantastic “I do not know what I would do without them!” set of Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies and I dotted around a few pink Glitter Dots for a bit of sparkle.
