Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a stunning one for you – it’s a Mason Jar that has been altered into the most gorgeous Beehive that houses pens featuring beautiful flowers on the top!
This week’s project was created by the fabulously creative Nicolle Belesimo over at EllocinDesigns.com and she came up with this cute project – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own beautiful project.
And here is what Nicolle came up with…how AMAZING is this?
This is a half pint sized mason jar that has Burlap Ribbon wrapped around it, complete with an ‘opening’ for the bees!
And how sweet are those bees? You can find those bee stamps in the set Honey Bee…
And the jar is filled with beautiful daisies whose ‘stems’ are actually ball point pens wrapped in floral tape – now if you have kids or a significant other who likes to steal pens from your desk, this may solve your problem!
Here is a closer look at one of them…the daisies are created by layering two daisy punched pieces together – a little yellow ink sponged onto the center and a Clear Faceted Gem on top.
See the slight sparkle on the petals? Easy to do with the Wink of Stellar Clear Glitter Brush…
And for a finishing touch, the pretty Old Olive/Pretty Peacock ribbon is perfect tied around the top…
