After our long Summer break it’s a very warm welcome back to 3-D Thursday!  This week it was my turn to create a little something and as Halloween is creeping up on us, I made a fun Curvy Treat Holder perfect for gifting some spooky treats!

Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.

And here it is…

How fun is this?  I created a core box and popped a tombstone shaped panel on each side and secured the top with a piece of the pretty Glittered Organdy Ribbon…

Undo that ribbon and you get to see what’s inside…a stack of four Hershey Nuggets!  I wrapped each with a piece of patterned paper from Magic of the Night DSP for a bit of a luxurious look…

One of the side panels features a black cat from the set Ghoulish Goodies which I fussy cut out and added a cute orange Rhinestone Jewel to his collar.

I love how he is peeking out of the grass – he looks like he is guarding the candy!

The grass strip is a piece of patterned paper from Heartwarming Hugs DSP and I shaped the top of it using a die from Hippo & Friends Dies.

Hard to see behind the cat, but I wrapped the box using a strip of paper from Magic of the Night DSP – this pack of papers is just hauntingly beautiful!  But on the other side you get to see it…I am loving this harlequin pattern!

The front panel features a big sentiment also from the set Ghoulish Goodies along with a smiley bat from Banner Year and the adorable owl & jack-o-lantern from Have-a-Hoot.

Check out the shapes of the white layer and black glittered one behind it…

These were created using two nesting dies from Hippo & Friends Dies – for the two larger black shapes I cut them out and then cut the bottom off  of each for a tombstone shape…

The white one I left complete to hang over the ‘grass’ – it is such a pretty shape!

Oh Sarah! That treat holder is adorable! I don’t have those stamps but I’m sure I can find something to decorate it with. I am definitely going to be making some of these. Thank you so much for sharing the tutorial!
