I can hardly believe that today is the last day of July – this summer is flying by! Today I am sharing a card that I made a little while ago back in the depths of the winter when I needed a little bit of summer in my crafting world!
It features the beautiful wave stamp that you can find in the Waves of Inspiration Stamp set and wow is it fun to play with!
I used the colors Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay for my three colors and dabbed the colors directly onto the stamp using a Sponge Dauber for each color.
First I dabbed on the darkest – Night of Navy – mostly along the bottom edge, at each corner and in the center of the wave. Then I added the next darkest – Pacific Point – and dabbed it all over. And finally I added the lightest – Bermuda Bay – and dabbed this mostly to the top part and the cresting wave with just a little on the flat bit…
I used a die from Waves Dies to cut the intricate top piece and added it in place using my Fine Tip Glue Pen.
TIP – if you don’t have any colorful Rhinestone Jewels you can simply color them yourself using Stampin’ Blends Markers – because those markers are alcohol based they will dry fast on your jewels and will not smudge onto your project!
