I just LOVE that cute reindeer in the set No Peeking…can you tell?!
In fact I love him so much that I just ‘had’ to use him again today in making each member of my Team a Christmas card…I wanted my card design to be colorful & vibrant with a focal image…and this stamp set is PERFECT for just this job.
Here is my card…it makes me smile to look at it because that cute reindeer looks so happy peeking through the window there!
I had a lot of them to make (of course in a hurry!) and this design makes it easy to do so in an assembly line style…
My card base is Real Red onto which I layered a piece of Lucky Limeade cardstock (sized 4 1/4″ x 3″) – I wanted some texture and used my Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (pg 189) to create that effect – although that layer is green, the polka dots still give a ‘snow’ theme to pull it into being a holiday card…
I then cut a piece of Whisper White (sized 4″ x 2 3/4″) and stamped the Jolly Christmas sentiment at the bottom using Early Espresso ink – and that sentiment is also included in the set No Peeking – and added it to my card base.
That Reindeer…cute, isn’t he? I love this look and it is SO simple to do – simply stamp him and punch the head part out using a circle punch – I used my 1 3/4″ Circle Punch for this (pg 184).
Then I added him – using Dimensionals – to a scalloped red circle that I made using my 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (pg 184) – and added it to my card…
A smple, simple, simple card and so much fun to make!
Not made cards assembly line style before? It’s a quick & easy way to do it – simply cut & score all bases – cut, stamp/emboss all layers – stamp images & punch where needed…
Then have all of your components in stacks in the order in which you need them – and assemble your cards – easy & fun!
