Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and I came up with a cute way to package a gift card for a new homeowner…
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here is my project…a cute little house themed box – perfect for a new homeowner!
The base of this project is a Lustrous White Mini Gable Box which I transformed into a house using dies from Pop-Up House Thinlits Dies and they are so much fun to play with!
I wanted a fun bright look to my house and choose Coastal Cabana for the ‘paint’ and Basic Gray for the roof. The windows & frames are white so that they stand out against the blue and tie into the base box. I wanted the front door to ‘pop’ and chose Calypso Coral to create that – and I am SUPER happy we now have brads back in the Catalog because they make terrific door knobs!
I used some new ribbon & twine to decorate the handle…
And I colored the box of flowers using Light Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. To enable the flower box to stand up, I cut a small strip of scrap green cardstock, folded it in half and use it as a tab to attach that box to the grass…
I used a stamp from the set Seasoned with Kindness to create my climbing plant and added a pretty Artisan Pearl to the side of it…
At the back of the box you can see a stamped tag using a stamp from At Home With You and shaped using the Classic Label Punch…
The curtains are stamps from the set Pop on By and I stamped them with Crushed Curry Ink onto So Saffron cardstock and they were super easy to cut out using a coordinating die from Pop-Up House Thinlits…
