If you know me, by now you will know that I love the papers in the Elegant Soiree pack of Designer Series Papers…love em…they lend themselves to any occasion and make it so easy to create co-ordinated elegant looking projects.
I used those papers just yesterday in my mini album and they were still on my table this morning and so I just had to use them again …as I had my favorite papers out I decided to dig out one of my favorite stamp sets – Aviary – and decided to create a simple card with no sentiment…
I’m a clean & simple girl and love letting the papers and stamps feature themselves…my card above is super simple and features Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Baha Breeze…with a touch of Soft Suede for my bird…
I decided to go with a bit of a circle theme and in Elegant Soiree I found a piece of paper with circles just perfect for my background…and the color was perfect since I love using blues with browns…I stamped my bird cages and punched two of them out using my 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and used Dimensionals to attach them to my base…
I stamped the stand onto a piece of vanilla cardstock and the bird cage onto another – I cut my cage out using Paper Snips and mounted it on top of the stand again using Dimensionals…I finished with a piece of Early Espresso 1/4″ Grosgrain and stamped and punched out my cute bird using 3/4″ and 1″ Circle Punches…
I decided not to add a sentiment since I like some ‘blank’ cards that I can use anytime…I think I’ll make a batch more of them as they turned out cute!
