Once I started thinking about how to use just stamps, ink and paper the ideas kept coming…
I decided to make some elegant looking Halloween gifts for adults and came up with a little 2 piece ensemble with chocolate as the central theme :-)
The Card has a sachet of Cocoa Mix that slides out as a warming Halloween treat…I used Basic Black Cardstock and patterned papers from Cast-a-Spell DSP to decorate it and I stamped the jack-o-lantern faces onto a piece of orange DSP and used my circle punch to cut them out – I then punched out a larger black circle and mounted the orange stamped circles on using dimensionals to make them ‘pop’ off the card. I attached these to the card base and used my paper snips to make a little ‘grass’ fringe…I covered the top of the cocoa sachet with a piece of purple DSP and stamped the sentiments ‘sweet treats’ and ‘happy halloween’ which are from that fabulous Teeny Tiny Wishes set (on pg 145 of the catalog).
The Nugget Box was so easy and fun to make – both parts of the box are made using Cast-a-Spell DSP and I added a little pumpkin to decorate the top to continue the theme of the cocoa card. I stamped the jack-o-lantern faces onto pieces of orange and green DSP and trimmed them to size to fit onto Hershey Nuggets – I adhered them using Sticky Strip and popped them into the little drawer – 3 fit inside…
I loved making these treats and I hope the teachers enjoy them :-)
