There is one word to describe this card – gorgeous! This caught my eye instantly when I received it in a recent demonstrator card front swap…
It is made by the very talented Debra Burgin and what caught my eye are the colors and the beautiful details on it…I love that it uses non-traditional valentine colors which gives it a very elegant look…Debra, your card is amazing…
I mounted it onto a base of Very Vanilla to photograph it…for her base Debra used Soft Suede card stock and onto this is a shape that is die cut out of Early Espresso card stock using the Big Shot & Two Tags Die (pg 206)…onto this is layered a piece of River Rock card stock and the corners are rounded using the 3/16″ Corner Punch…to give this piece some texture, it is stamped using the Wonderfully Worn background stamp with River Rock ink.
The cute ribbons at the top? Pieces of Marina Mist Satin Ribbon and Victoria Crochet Trim secured in place by a beautiful brad from the Antique Brads pack.
That gorgeous heart? Wow it is lovely and is a stamp that you can find on pg 43 of the Occasions Mini Catalog – it is called Be My Valentine and Debra stamped it using Marina Mist ink onto Bashful Blue card stock…she then sprayed on a little Log Cabin Smooch Spritz to give a vintage look to this gorgeous heart, cut it out and added it to the base using Dimensionals…
The Amour sentiment? Is a stamp from the set Artistic Etchings and is stamped using Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla…the ends are shaped using the Ticket Corner Punch and Metallic Brads added at each end to finish it off…she used this banner to cover the existing sentiment on the stamp…
The other element that I just love is the musical notes at the bottom – made using the Stampin’ Around Wheel Music Notes and Soft Suede ink…Debra shaped the bottom edge using the Scallop Edge Border Punch and then ran it through her Crimper Tool to get that wavy look – gorgeous!
The final finishing touch is a zigzag strip made using the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die that was featured in the Holiday Mini but is still available for sale – you can find it by clicking HERE
