I am beginning to feel like Spring is just around the corner and it made me want to make a spring-like card. Today I have used the fabulous Season of Friendship stamp set which is currently available in the Holiday Mini Catalog – this is a wonderfully versatile set that can be used for many occasions all year round and for creating framed projects for your home. This set is only available until January 18th at which time it is no longer available for purchase – if you want one, order it while you still can – you can find the link to this catalog to the right in the Catalogs section :-)

I chose the colors on this card after receiving a baby shower invitation for a friend who is having a baby girl – the colors she specified for her nursery are green and brown and I decided to add in a bit of pink – these colors work so well together and I think I will be using them to make her baby cards…

I stamped the tree image from Season of Friendship onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Chocolate Chip Ink. I also stamped the Flowers using Pretty in Pink Ink onto a separate piece of Very Vanilla and cut them out using my Paper Snips – I adhered the center of each flower to the card base using Mini Glue Dots. I used my Stamp-a-majig to make positioning the leaf stamp very easy and stamped the leaves using Mellow Moss Ink.

I then layered this onto a piece of Mellow Moss cardstock and tied around Mellow Moss 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and finished with a simple knot. I layered this onto a piece of DSP taken from the gorgeous brand new Candy Lane package of papers (which is available as part of the Love You Much Bundle – details and the flyer of which you can find on the right) and finally layered all onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. For the finishing touch I added a sentiment on top of the ribbon – you could leave the card without a sentiment or add any of your choice to make an any occasion card. You could also add clear rhinestones or Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the center of the flowers to give it a bit of bling – and voila, a very simple yet fresh looking card using one of my favorite stamp sets :-)

The pink flowers really do make this spring-y feeling.
