Now this card I just love -I used some new fun products to make it along with papers from my favorite new pack of Designer Series Papers – Comfort Cafe…
Those die cut flowers are made using a brand new set of Framelits Dies called Floral Frames…the best bit about these dies is that they nest making layering fun and easy…oh and they are sooo compact for storage because they are wafer thin…
My card uses the colors Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla – all of which co-ordinate beautifully with Comfort Cafe papers…
Onto my base I added 2 layers and onto that Vanilla layer I stamped flowers from the set Betsy’s Blossoms – until I went to make this card I had NO idea that those flowers were the same shape as some of the flower dies in the new Framelits Die set Floral Frames – how cool is that?
Next for that gorgeous flower…
The flower is created using 3 different Dies from Floral Frames Framelits which you can find on pg 191 – in this pack there are 5 layering dies in total and they are all just beautiful…
The largest flower is cut from Soft Suede cardstock…the next smaller flower is cut from a piece of Comfort Cafe DSP (pg 163) and the top layer is cut from Soft Suede cardstock and textured using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (pg 189)…
You can see that I layered them all using Dimensionals to make that flower pop out from the card.
I then stamped my sentiment using a stamp from the new Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (pg 134) and cut it out using a perfectly co-ordinating curvy die from Bitty Banners Framelits (pg 191) – you can see there is a little curl to the banner – made very simply by shaping it gently between my fingers to create a curve…
And for a finishing touch I added a little bow from Linen Thread (pg 173).
I just love how this card turned out and just love playing with these fabulous new dies…
