Today I wanted to show you a way to make a window on your cards so that stamped images below show through…
This card is very clean & simple but looks like it is a lot more complex to make that it actually is – I used stamps from the set Warmth & Wonder along with a die from Ovals Collection Framelits to make it…

Now I found this card design on line and I don’t often case cards, but this I just loved – but unfortunately I cannot remember where I found it and who designed it – if it was you, please let me know so that I can give you credit for it!
The card base…is simply Crumb Cake that is cut to be 4 1/4″ x 11″ and then you score halfway down at 5 1/2″ – I then used a die from Ovals Collection Framelits and my Big Shot to make that window – I also used the Magnetic Platform to get that die exactly where I wanted it and to ensure that it did not move during the die cutting process – you can find the Magnetic Platform by clicking HERE – it’s one of those items that once you have it, you wonder how you ever managed without it!!!
I then adhered a piece of Whisper White cardstock inside and there is one quick & easy but fabulous card base!
The tree…is stamped using two stamps from Warmth & Wonder – you can find this set on pg 39 of the Holiday Catalog and it is an exclusive Hostess set that is only available until January 2nd – this is a stamp set that you can get for FREE when you place an order of $150+ and it is CUTE!!!
I stamped my tree using Old Olive ink and then stamped those ornaments using Real Red ink – cute, simple and easy – and what a great and different kind of holiday card…
The bow…is simply Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine wrapped around the top of the card twice and tied in a bow at the front – I love the look you get when you use double the thread on the bow! And I finished by putting a Rhinestone Jewel in the center for a bit more bling…because you can’t have too much bling on a holiday card…please click on the photo below for a larger view…
The sentiment…is another stamp from Warmth & Wonder and I stamped it again using Real Red ink directly onto the base – I then added two Rhinestone Jewels to each end and voila – one utterly fabulous holiday card that is fun & easy to make but will WOW your friends & family!
