Did you see those fabulous FOUR BRAND NEW SALE-A-BRATION ITEMS that were just released?  I LOVE them all but my absolute fav’s are the stamp set ‘For Being You’ and the In Color Accessory Pack – WOW – what fab new products to get for free during March!

Today I decided to use the big ‘thanks’ stamp in For Being You to make a thank you card – and that is one BIG sentiment stamp measuring 4″ x 1″ and the beauty of it is that it is not too big so that you can add other things to your card front BUT it is big enough to make it the main event on a card if you want to do that…

And that is what I did today…I used some of those fab In Colors to add to it and look how it turned out…

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those In Colors – they all work GREAT together, don’t you think?

The card base…is simply Whisper White onto which I layered a piece of Mossy Meadow sized 3 3/4″ x 5″.

The stamped images…I stamped the ‘thanks’ and ‘for all you do’ stamps using Memento Black Ink – if you go for the clear mount version, you can position them perfectly ahead of time on one large acrylic block – which means you can stamp them together at the same time, which makes for speedy stamping & perfect positioning, especially important if you are stamping a bunch of cards at the same time – here is how I positioned mine on the block…

The paper piecing…is how I got the color onto my letters – I simply took scrap pieces of the 2014-2016 In Colors, stamped the word ‘thanks’ onto each color and decided on my color line up…

And then I used my very sharp Paper Snips (pg 215) to cut out each letter from each color and used glue to adhere them in place…

SARAH’S TIP:  you know what helped me get that color line-up in order?  On the Sale-a-bration flyer that features the four new products, there is a photo of the rolls of twine in the In Color Accessory Pack and I figured if Stampin Up lined up the colors like that, then it must work well…

And so that is the sequence that I used on my card and it worked out great!  Here is that picture I used for inspiration, which led me to go blue-green-purple-orange-yellow:

The trim…after gazing at those beautiful twines above I knew I had to use some on my card…but I wanted a neutral color and so I picked white from Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (pg 37 Occasions Catalog) and tied it around my image layer ending with a cute bow in front…

The finishing touch…it needed just something more…and so I punched out a little green heart using the Confetti Hearts Border Punch (pg 5 Occasions Catalog) which gave me the perfect little something I was looking for…
