Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a sweet project for you – it’s a very pretty floral treat box!
This week’s project was created by the fabulously creative Jenn Gulch over at Twins & Twine – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own beautiful project.
And here it is…so pretty and perfect for packaging treats into for events like birthdays, teacher gifts, Mother’s Day and wedding gifts & favors…
I love the spring time colors on this project – they are making me day dream of planting out my garden, but that’s going to be a while because it’s actually 28 degrees here right now!
Here’s a close up of those beautiful flowers – the rose & leaves stamps are from the new Occasions Catalog set Petal Palette and they are cut out using dies from Petals & More Thinlits – you can find both of these items on pg 23 of the Occasions Catalog and they are available as a BUNDLE which will save you 10% – you can find the link to these products in the supply list below…
The box is made using a new die from Lots to Love Box Framelits (pg 19 Occasions Catalog) and you use the die to cut two shapes out of your patterned paper – the paper on this box is from Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP (pg 13 Occasions Catalog) and I love those silver accent stripes on this paper…
To assemble your box you simply apply strong tape to the sides and attach them together…
And this is the finished box – easy as that! This die makes it very quick & easy to make one or a bunch of treat boxes in a very short amount of time…
And here is one last look – you can see some pretty finishing touches on here – the Delicate White Doily tucked under the flowers and that beautiful new Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon (pg 13 Occasions Catalog) giving that complimentary silver edging which matches the accents on the paper, some leaves cut from Vellum Cardstock for a translucent look and the little dots that look like drops of water on the roses – they are from Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes (pg 33 Occasions Catalog)…
