Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and I came up with a spooky treat – a long box filled with Hershey Nuggets!
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here it is…the base box is super simple requiring just two sheets of cardstock, a paper trimmer and a score blade or tool to make it…
And then you get the fun bit of decorating it to your heart’s content! I used papers and stamps from the new Halloween collection to decorate mine which you can find on pgs 49-50 of the Holiday Catalog.
Slide out the tray and this is what is inside…some patterned paper covered Hershey Nuggets! Nine fit in there nicely and I used papers from Toil & Trouble DSP to cover them…
The hat and cat are cut from more papers in Toil & Trouble DSP (LOVE that paper pack and one of the designs is a page FILLED with various super cute witches hats!) and the sentiment is a stamp from the set Spooky Sweets – cut out using the smallest Stitched Shapes Circle Die and layered onto a black tag created using the Pretty Label Punch which was then textured with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder…
At one end are flying bats – super easy to create using yet another sheet of paper from Toil & Trouble and the new fabulous Spooky Bats Punch…
YES you read that right – the bat patterned paper COORDINATES with the Spooky Bats Punch!!! Line up your punch and cut em out, three at a time – easy & fun!
And at the other end we have a fussy cut cat…yep, I love to fussy cut…don’t know why…the fiddlier the better!
I dotted around a few Clear Epoxy Droplets for a bit of bling and do you see the other bling? I covered the top of the box with the new Black Foil Paper and WOW does it step up a project like this – check out that shine…
To cover the Nuggets all you do is cut strips of patterned paper to measure 1″ x 3″ – wrap a strip around a nugget and secure with tape on the back – a very quick & easy way to get a great look fast = perfect for batch making!
Here is a look at all 9 Nuggets nestled in their slide out tray decorated with these fun & pretty new papers…
And here is one last side look so you can see the end of the box all closed up…
ALL papers used on this box are from Toil & Trouble DSP and here are the patterns that come in it – click HERE to find it in the store:
