Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and I came up with a fun way to BOO your friends, coworkers & neighbors!
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here it is…it is a little treat box for Halloween that hangs on a door handle or hook to say ‘you’ve been boo’ed’!
It is so simple to make the basic hanger box – all you need is a paper trimmer with score blade (or tool), two pieces of cardstock, scissors and strong adhesive tape along with a die or punch to make the hanging hole – that’s it! And then you get to decorate as elaborately or simply as you like!
I used dotted & striped patterned papers from the Regals DSP Stack to brighten up my black base and added punched shapes on top…
The black bats were cut from Black Foil paper – see the shine on them?
I love the black cat with a vellum moon & bat behind her – super simple to shape using the fab Cat punch and I decided to give her a matt finish so cut her out of regular black cardstock…
I love her eyes – so easy to add with a couple of small Rhinestone Jewels!
See that big gorgeous glittery letters? I die cut one set out of black cardstock then another out of Silver Glimmer Paper and slightly offset them for a cool shadow look.
I used silver thread to string them together and then tied them to a piece of the gorgeous Black Glittered Organdy Trim at the top…
Inside there is plenty of room for some treats – I popped in four treat sized candy packs…
And here is what it likes hanging up – the BOO hangs nicely down the side and look at how the cat’s eyes sparkle!
This project was so much fun to create – I hope you want to make some too to BOO your friends, neighbors & coworkers!
