Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a fun treat holder for you in the form of a Graduation Cap!
This week’s project was created by the fabulously creative Susan Itell over at Simple Stampin and she came up with this cute project – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own beautiful project.
And here is what she came up with…how adorable are these Graduation Cap treat holders?
They are simply covered using Black cardstock and decorated using die cut words and tassels!
Take the cap lid off and you will find stamped & wrapped Hershey Nuggets inside along with cash that has been rolled up to look like graduation scrolls…
You can wrap around embroidery floss to color theme your tassels with the colors of the school that the grad attends for a very cute touch – and you can use the same colors to stamp your bands that cover the nuggets…
And of course you can even customize the color of the ribbon tied around the cash scroll too!
Here is what a Sweet Cup looks like before being transformed into one of these amazing caps – you get 10 of them in a pack (bases & lids) for $8.50 – click HERE to find them in the store BUT HURRY – THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHILST SUPPLIES LAST as they are RETIRING so PLEASE ORDER THEM NOW!
I have to wait a couple of years to make these for my graduates and I just bought a pack of the Sweet Cups ready for it! I think these will bring a BIG smile to any graduate who is gifted one – want to make some yourself?
