Today I am showing you my Thank You cards that I am mailing out to all of my customers who placed an order with me during September…
They went out in the mail today and I hope that they will like it…this card uses the Tap Tap Tap stamp set that you can find on pg 126 of the Catalog and I love it for it’s versatility and old-time charm…
Here is my card…a simple black & vanilla color scheme with some cool features…
I love monochromatic cards…I was sooo tempted to pop a splash of red onto this card but in the end decided to keep it simple and neutral…what do you think?
The card base…is Basic Black onto which I layered a piece of Very Vanilla…and then added a square of Typeset Specialty DSP (pg 184) on an angle…that paper fits SO well with this stamp set!
The spiral edged mat…I cut a piece of black cardstock to measure 4 3/4″ x 3″ and made that spiral edge using the Spiral Border Punch (pg 222) – and added it to my base using Dimensionals…
The main panel…the ruled paper & typewriter stamps are two different stamps! I used masking to get this cool look and love how it turned out!
To do this I stamped the typewriter image onto a piece of scrap paper and roughly cut it out (nothing fussy – you just want the basic shape) – I then positioned that cut-out typewriter onto a piece of Vanilla cardstock, inked up my ‘ruled paper’ stamp and stamped it down onto that piece of Vanilla on an angle, and partially over the cut out typewriter…
When done, I removed the typewriter cut-out and then went ahead and stamped the typewriter image in it’s place – this is a fab and easy way to get a great looking image using two stamps!
The black alphabet washi tape…it’s not actually washi tape LOL – but it looks like it, eh? This image is from a stamp in the set Tape It (pg 37) – a stamp set that has washi tape style stamps! LOVE it because you can make your washi images ANY color that you choose – and it’s so realistic looking too!
I stamped my washi image in black, cut it out and tore it to size, to give a more realistic washi-look…
The flower…is punched using a sweet floral punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (pg 222) and I attached it using a Glue Dot and added a Pearl (pg 209) in the center…
The finishing touch…it needed a little something more and so I added a banner – the ‘note’ banner is a stamp from Tap Tap Tap and I die cut it out using a perfectly matching die featured in Banners Framelits (pg 231) – this stamped image is not long so to make it so, I simply cut it in half and attached each piece top & bottom just underneath the black layer, to give the illusion that it is long!
I love this card – and hope my customers will like it too – here are my customer thank you’s waiting to go out in the mail…

What a great card and especially for a thank you card. I hope you don’t mind if I CASE this idea! Of course, mine will not look as cool as yours but I sure can try! I totally love black and white or black and vanilla! This is so crisp and fun. Totally love it!
