This is a very cute way to turn an ordinary bar of chocolate into a little something special – this would make a perfect party or shower favor.

My girls’ 2nd grade teachers had a tough week last week and so I decided to make them a little Monday morning gift to brighten their start to this week…the chocolate bar simply slides out of the little pocket and you can easily size your pocket to fit any chocolate bar that you wish to use.

And by changing the colors and papers you can use this idea for any occasion – I love the simplicity and the fact that this wrapper uses only small pieces of cardstock, ribbon and Designer Series Paper making it a very affordable little treat to give – here is my first one…

The base is Soft Suede and the paper is from that gorgeous pack Elegant Soiree (pg 175) – I embellished it simply using a strip of cardstock that I embossed using my Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (pg 214) and tied around a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim (pg 190).  I made a tag using Circle Punches & Linen Thread & my sentiment is from the set Fabulous Phrases (pg 149) – as a cute finishing touch I added a button (pg 186)…

And here is my second one…it has a Chocolate Chip base and is decorated using paper from the Greenhouse Gala pack (pg 173) and beautiful Old Olive Satin Ribbon (pg 191)…

And finally I added my chocolate bars which simply slide in – I hope they bring smiles to my girls’ teachers faces.

Whilst I was making these wrappers I knew that I would receive emails asking how to make them – and so decided to make a quick tutorial so that you can easily make them too…you can find this tutorial (with a printable version too!) by clicking HERE
