One of my girl’s teachers is getting married this weekend and so I decided to make her a wedding card…a BIG congrats Ms Whittington and wishing you lots of luck for Saturday!

I wanted to stick with my Clean & Simple theme this week but also wanted to add an elegant twist to my card and found the perfect thing to use to satisfy both of these…

I decided to use the beautiful Elegant Lines Embossing Folder that you can find on pg 214 – full of elegant swirls and yet clean lines, it is perfect for a wedding or engagement card.

Using an embossing folder to create your background is an incredibly quick and easy thing to do – add a sentiment to it and maybe a few flowers and pearls and there is one beautiful card…

My card features the colors Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze – I stamped the flowers using a stamp from Bold Blossom which you can find on pg 31 of the Occasions Mini Catalog – I LOVE this set as it is incredibly versatile and so affordable at just $9.95…

I stamped my sentiment using a stamp from the Hostess set Occasional Quotes (pg 14) and punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch.  I then punched another shape out of a piece of Soft Suede card stock and trimmed off each end – I adhered these end pieces just beneath my vanilla piece to create a shadow so that it stands out from my card base…

For a finishing touch I added 3 little Pearls beneath my sentiment and one to the center of each flower – Pearls just seem to go with weddings so I couldn’t resist sneaking them in there…

I HAVE A SPECIAL OFFER FOR YOU WHEN YOU PURCHASE BOTH THE STAMP SETS BOLD BLOSSOM & YOU’RE A GEM THROUGH ME – both are featured in the Occasions Mini, are incredibly versatile and are bargain priced – EMAIL ME FOR DETAILS!
