Well the daffodils are blooming here in Central Texas and coupled with ending school for Spring Break today, it put me in the mood to make a fun springtime card…
The cute stamps that I used are from the set Hello Again which is one of the sets you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase right now during Sale-a-bration…it is a very sweet and fun to use set of stamps…
My card uses the colors Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise – notice that unusually for me, most of these are from the Brights family? Bright colors just seem to suit these little stamps well…
I gave my card an easy frame by using my Big Shot and Framed Tulips Embossing Folder that you can find on pg 28 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.
I added a piece of polka dotted patterned paper from Jolly Holiday DSP (pg 174) and wrapped around a piece of 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and secured with a knot in front.
My images? All stamped using stamps from the set Hello Again on pg 110 – I stamped my sentiment and flower onto my white cardstock but thought the flower needed a little something more…
So I decided to make the flower pop off my card – to do this I stamped the flower head again onto another piece and cut it out using my Paper Snips and attached it just above the stem using Dimensionals. I stamped the inside of the flower using yellow ink onto another white piece, cut it out and added it to the center…
Lastly I added my butterfly, again using Dimensionals, to make her look like she is flying to the flower…I love how it turned out – a fun and bright little card just perfect for spring!
