I wanted to make a quick and simple card today to demonstrate what an impact you can make on card by using just two colors…

And so sorry for such a late post…the dreaded strep throat bug has invaded the house and one of my girls has caught it…and so I am taking advantage of a little time to play with paper & ink whilst she snoozes…

My card is made simply using Whisper White and Riding Hood Red…my Love You sentiment is from the stamp set Valentine Defined that you can find on pg 9 of the Occasions Mini Catalog

Once stamped I simply punched it out using my 1 3/8″ x 5/8″ Oval Punch and then layered it onto an oval of red that I created using my 1 3/4″ x 7/8″ Oval Punch

My Owl? Stamped using a brand new stamp featured in the Sale-a-bration Catalog – he is in the set called Punch Bunch and you can get him for FREE during Sale-a-bration which begins on January 25th…

And as for those glittery hearts…oh my how they sparkle…

Made simply by taking a piece of the gorgeous glittery Red Glimmer Paper that you can find on pg 7 of the Occasions Mini and punching hearts out using the Full Heart and Heart to Heart Punches…

And it’s that easy to get a great looking card with lots of visual impact using just two colors…I gave my card to my little girl with a ‘get well soon’ message inside – it is next to her bed and she loves it…
