I wanted to make a card suitable for a wedding, engagement or anniversary and wanted to use elegant colors…I chose to use Very Vanilla and Soft Suede as my core colors and Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake as my accent colors…
I made the beautiful textured panel using my Big Shot and Framed Tulips Embossing Folder that is featured on pg 28 of the Occasions Mini Catalog…and wrapped around a piece of Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon…
I stamped my sentiment using that beautiful stamp from Bliss and punched it out using my 2 x 1 3/8″ Oval Punch, adding it to the ribbon with Dimensionals…
Those cute flowers? Stamped using the flower stamp from Bliss and cut out by hand using my Paper Snips – I love these sharp pointed little scissors as they make it SO easy to cut images neatly and accurately…if you don’t have any, I highly recommend them…
See my little finishing touches? I put those little Pearls into the centers of all the flowers and onto my Bliss sentiment – they are so easy to apply since they have little glue dots already attached – just peel them off and stick them in place – what a cute and elegant touch…
You can find these Basic Pearls on pg 188 and they are a bargain at $4.95 for 150 – they come in three sizes and are a pleasure to use.
I have to tell you, I totally copied this card for a friends Birthday and it was amazing. The picture doesn’t do it justice. The colors, the pearls, beautiful. Thank you so much for the wonderful idea.
