We have a naughty cat…a very naughty cat…in fact he is like a 2 year old who needs watching all the time LOL! He steals food…eats anything he can find…gets stuck because he is so nosey and just has to climb into things he shouldn’t…
And so my card today was designed with him in mind!!! This morning I purchased the jack o lanterns for the kids to carve next week…and last year not only did he try to eat them, he also climbed inside one of them when the seeds have been scooped out…
And here is my card featuring just that vision of him…LOL…isn’t this cute?! This is the card that I will be mailing to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers tomorrow – they get a card each month to thank them for their subscriptions…
That was my first version…and then when I saw it a few hours after posting it here, I thought it might need a little something extra and added a strip of ribbon as you can see below…which one do you prefer?
I am so happy with how it turned out! And I think my girls are going to flip when they come home from school and see it – they are BIG in to cats…
The card base…is Basic Black onto which I layered a piece of black that I textured using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (pg 226) – and added a strip of green polka dotted patterned paper from Brights Backgrounds DSP Stack (pg 185)…
The cat in the pumpkin…the cat was stamped using a stamp from You Little Furball (pg 112) – this is a fun cat themed set and it is super versatile! I stamped the head onto a scrap of paper, cut it out and added it using a Dimensional for more of a 3-D look.
The pumpkins…were stamped using Tangelo Twist ink and two stamps from the set Fall Fest (pg 46 Holiday Catalog) which I cut out easily using a perfectly co-0rdinating die from the set Fun Fall Framelits (pg 46 Holiday Catalog) – I then cut the largest pumpkin in half and used Dimensionals to add it onto of my cat image…
The leaves…are stamped in Old Olive ink using another stamp from Fall Fest – I cut them out again using a co-ordinating die from Fun Fall Framelits and dotted them around my card.

The sentiment…is a stamp from Good Greetings (which is a Hostess set that you can get for FREE through October 31st – click HERE to find out more!) and I cut it out using a banner shaped die from Circles Card Thinlits…
The finishing touches…I added a Rhinestone Jewel the cat’s collar and bows made out of Linen Thread to the leaves on the pumpkins…
I am super happy with how this card turned out – I hope my Paper Pumpkin subscribers like it!
