Today I am showing you a cute Halloween treat holder that is fun and quick & easy to make – plus it’s not big, making it a great way to use up some of your pretty patterned paper scraps to decorate it!

You will find links to the printable/downloadable Project Sheet & Tutorial that detail all measurements & instructions on how to make this below…look for the red text!

Here is my Candy Corn Sour Cream Container shaped treat holder…

Isn’t it sweet?  I just love those colors & that cute little Bat stamp – he makes me smile!

The base of the container is simply a quarter sheet of Whisper White cardstock – be sure to use the regular type and not the thick version – thicker cardstocks are much hard to roll & shape without getting creases where you don’t want them to be!

I really wanted my container to look like candy corn and so used papers in the colors Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie – LOVE that combo and they worked so well to create that theme – they are both from the Brights DSP Stack that is superb value for money – find it on pg 174 of the Catalog…

When you make your own, be sure to use SUPER STRENGTH adhesive tape to keep those ends together – Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape both work well for this…

AND don’t forget to fill with candy before sealing…yep, I’ve forgotten before…it’s a real ‘doh!’ moment!  What do you fill them with?  Anything you like but I just had to use Candy Corn…

And I found Brachs Mini Candy Corn in Target in their halloween baking section – the mini size is super cute and I know my girls are going to love opening these boxes & find those little treats inside – PLUS they are also THE perfect size to use in the test tubes that you got in last month’s Paper Pumpkin kit if you are a subscriber…

And of course you can make a tag using any supplies you have to hand but this is what I used to make mine…

The word stamps are from Spooky Fun (pg 52 Holiday Catalog) and that adorable Bat stamp is from Cookie Cutter Halloween (pg 53 Holiday Catalog)…

And then I went looking for my note tag punch to shape my tag (especially because it has a gravestone shape that would be perfect) and then I realised that it was retired in June – OH NO! – I was temporarily floundering, trying to come up with an alternative!

Then I found it – a die in Tags & Labels Framelits Dies – phew – it worked perfectly – saved!  I tied it on using a piece of Black Bakers Twine and there you go…one sweet & simple Halloween treat ready to go…
