Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it was my turn to create a little something and because we are coming up to Graduation season AND I have two about-to-be high school graduates, well, it just had to be a spin on a Graduation card!

Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.

And here it is…literally bursting with Black, White & Silver!

The cap was super simple to create using a square of Black cardstock, a large Brad and black & white Twine from Playful Pets Trim – I finished it off with a little Black Bakers Twine bow and attached it using a double layer of Dimensionals…

Here is a bird’s eye view…those silver letters were die cut using dies from Playful Alphabet Dies and I adhered them onto strips of black cardstock using both a glue pen and then for every alterate letter, I elevated it using Black Dimensionals – this meant that I could fit alot of letters into a small space plus give a great visual look and I love how it turned out!  Once done, I trimmed the strip to size and attached it to a square of clear Window Sheet and then attached that to a divider in the base of the box card…

And this card folds down flat so that you can pop it into an envelope…I think it even looks neat like this!

The balloons were created using the Balloon Bouquet Punch (shortly retiring!) and the stars were cut out using dies from Stitched Stars Dies…

And here it is fully folded flat – the numbers were also cut using dies from Playful Alphabet Dies…

Loving those black and white patterned papers?  They are ALL from True Love DSP featured in the Mini Catalog – one of my most favorite packs right now!

Turn it over and on the back you have a panel to decorate or write a message – I decided to stamp a message using stamps from Well Said (soon retiring!) and added punched out balloons using dies from Special Day Dies…guys, this set of dies is shortly retiring too and is BARGAIN PRICED right now!!!  I mean seriously bargain priced:

153587  SPECIAL DAY DIES – regular price $29.00 – ON SALE RIGHT NOW FOR JUST $7.25!!!  CLICK HERE TO FIND THEM IN THE STORE!

Here is one last look – I wanted an interesting backdrop to the die cuts and found the perfect stamp in the You Are Amazing stamp set (again shortly retiring!) – such a fun larger stamp!
