Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a really cool one for y’all – you know the cardboard rings you get in the center of a roll of packing tape? Well our guest designer this week has a really great way to turn them into a thing of beauty and giftable!
This week’s project was created by our lovely Guest Designer – Rhonda Griffin – over at thestampinbunny.blogspot.com and she came up with this beauty of a project – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own beautiful project.
And here is what Rhonda came up with…
I mean, WOW!!! Who would’ve thought that the main construction piece used here is an old cardboard tube piece that we usually throw out?
Absolutely GORGEOUS, both of them – Rhonda used patterned papers from Fine Art Floral DSP and some printed patterned sheets from Golden Garden Acetate Sheets on both and those new ribbons coordinate beautifully and also have gold flecks in them.
Here is the inside – painted using white acrylic paint that is colored with Stampin Up Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo Ink Refills – ever thought of doing that before? I know I haven’t!
I can see so much potential for this concept – imagine making these for holiday projects simply by using holiday themed papers and ribbons! Oh my – I am going to be saving my packing tape roll centers from now on!
