Today was our last day on vacation and it was fun – and so tonight I am showcasing a very fun card that made me giggle as soon as I saw it…

It features a stamp used in a way I had never thought of before and it is a brilliant idea – the stamper who made this fun card is named Donna Godsey and boy did she inspire me!

The colors used on this card are Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White.

Isn’t it cute?  I LOVE the branch that the owl is sitting on…do you recognise it?  It’s the tree from the stamp set Season of Friendship – LOVE it!  And it makes that stamp set now so much more versatile…and you know I love versatility in my stamps…

That cute owl?  It’s from the Sale-a-bration set Punch Bunch that you can find on pg 5 of the Sale-a-bration Catalog – this is one of my favorite items in it and the owl stamp I particularly love…

Once stamped, you simply punch him out using the Two-step Owl Punch, add a heart and some eyes and attach him to his tree branch using Dimensionals to pop him off.

See that textured white background?  Another clever touch made using the Big Shot and a Texturz Plate from Textures Plates Kit #4 – I love how this woodgrain look fits in perfectly with the branch theme…

Finally the sentiment is stamped and punched out using the Modern Label Punch and layered onto a piece of Riding Hood Red cardstock shaped using the Decorative Label Punch…

The result is one cute card that you can use for many occasions simply by changing the sentiment – thanks for inspiring me with your talent Donna!
