Firstly, apologies that Tutorial Tuesday slipped into Wednesday…sorting out a few new things this week has made my schedule slide!

So here we are with Easter only a month away and when I realised that, I figured I should start thinking about treats that the girls can give to their friends & classmates…

I played with paper for a while and came up with a cute Bunny holding a tube of Jelly Beans…isn’t he adorable?  That Tube is the perfect size to hold Jelly Beans or M&Ms.  Wouldn’t he also be great for baby shower favors?

Please read on for details on how to make him plus a link to my free printable tutorial and as always, this week’s blog candy…

Now with this Bunny I have a bit of a dilemma – the one above has no paws…but I’m not sure if I prefer him or the Bunny below with those cute paws holding onto the Tube…what do you think?

Tough, eh?  How did I make him?  By using punched and die cut shapes – I made his head using my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle #2 Die, his paws using the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Die and everything else using a selection of Oval and Circle Punches…

I have a full list of the Dies & Punches along with how many shapes of each are needed to make him on my printable tutorial.

What colors did I use? I used Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Basic Black to make him.  Like that nose?  Made using the Heart to Heart Punch and some strands of Linen Thread.

Is there anything on the back of my Bunny? Oh yes…one very cute finishing touch…check out this tail…love it!

The Tube? It’s a cello tube filled with Jelly Beans and is sized perfectly to hold these and M&Ms – there is a peel off sealing strip on one end that holds the goodies firmly inside and is almost invisible to see when sealed.

You can use multicolored candies or keep them all one color for different looks – here are some filled tubes to give you an idea of the effects you can create…

Want some of these Tubes? I have them…read on for details!

Well, I think the paws have it! But, you could make another with jut one paw on the candy and one paw waving or something? Either way, the tail is just the cutest! Thanks for sharing such a cutie!

Great tutorial! I like the bunny with the front feet. I think it might look good if the front feet were a little closer to it’s body…they can be behind his back feet with just a little of his front feet peeking out from the sides of his back feet. Hopefully that makes sense:)

What I cute bunny! I really like the bunny without the paws. It seems as though the paws are too large and take away from the effect of the bunny “holding” the treat tube. I wonder what it would would like with the paws being made from the scallop oval punch or one of the smaller oval punches, as those are narrower and bunny feet and paws are naturally more narrow. Thanks for sharing and offering the blog candy. I’d love some of those tubes, Sarah :)

My vote would be for the “with paws” version…although they are both completely adorable! Thanks for the inspiration.

I love this bunny and the cello tubes are a great idea, will have to put in an order. I wonder if the paws are on the bottom of the tube (holding up the tube or outstretched thus giving the candy to someone)and in a bit closer to his body. Of course, I vote for having paws showing! Tks for sharing.

First of all these are sooo cute, they would be perfect to give each of my sons classmates for easter! I prefer the one without the paws, cute and simple. Second, i would like some of the plastic tubes, do you except paypal and what is the s/h cost or is that included in the $5 for 50 price quote?

OMG, your Peter Cottontails are adorable. Think I prefer the one without the paws though because the jelly beans in the cello bag are so colorful. What a cool idea to make for all the little nieces, nephews & friends’ kids for Easter. Wouldn’t they be adorable added to your table for decorations? I can see I need to place an order for the cello bags in the next day or two. Thanks for the chance to win a kit ~ your tutorials are so helpful.

I love your Bunny holding the jellybeans so much that I just ordered the tubes. I think I’ll make his paws smaller and scallops UP so it looks like he is holding them in his paws. Or maybe I’ll make it your way…depends how mine look. Thanks so much for sharing your tutorials…boy, you’re going to keep me busy.

I love the one with the paws looks more like he is holding the candies not them jus sitting in his lap. Either way is great thought . Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us every week.
