I love to incorporate little gifts into cards and this was a fun little one to make that would make a perfect thank you, friend or simply hello card…

I have been on the fence for a while about getting two items – the stamp set Morning Cup and the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die – finally I added them to my order and wow am I glad I did – why did I wait so long to get them?!  These two are just PERFECT to use together!!!

You can find Morning Cup on pg 56 – it is a fun little set that features tea cups, kettles and coffee-themed sentiments and is just perfect for the type of card that I made below…

I made this card a few weeks ago for my Monthly Club customers – that round of my Club ended and so I mailed to them in their final May gift packets a Card Kit containing everything they would need to make this cute card including the tea bags…

A NEW ROUND OF MY MONTHLY CLUB IS FORMING RIGHT NOW!!!  If you would like to join the next round of my Monthly Club please click HERE to find the details and forms…

I AM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS THROUGH JULY 31st AND FOR THE MONTH OF JULY THERE IS A BONUS CLUB GIFT TOO SO YOU WILL RECEIVE TWO CLUB GIFTS – a FREE Ink Pad in the color of your choice AND a Mini Pull-out Scrapbook Kit containing everything you need to make one cute summer themed scrapbook plus the tutorial!

Onto my card…My card base is Cherry Cobbler onto which I layered a piece of Soft Suede.

My Very Vanilla layer has that cute stack of cups stamped onto it along with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon wrapped around it – I decided to use the plain side rather than the polka dot side so that I could tie on a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim – I thought that this added a little bit of a lacey doily look which is in perfect keeping with my tea themed card…

The Patterned Paper is from Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (pg 162) and adds just the right amount of texture.

The CUTE Scalloped Envelope? Fun and easy to make – I used the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die (pg 194) and ran it through my Big Shot to create my Cherry Cobbler envelope – I decided it was too plain so embossed it using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (pg 189) and love how it turned out…

I folded & glued it together, added it to my card and popped in my tea bag…

The Tea Bag Tag is made using a stamp from Morning Cup and my 1″ Circle Punch (pg 184)…I also stamped a tea cup and punched it out with the same punch and added it to the bottom of my envelope…

The Sentiment is from the set Tea Shoppe (pg 57) and I punched that out using my Modern Label Punch (pg 183) and added it to my card using Dimensionals…click on my photo below for a larger view…

Here are the images in the stamp set Morning Cup – it is available in both wood mount & clear mount versions – click here to view it in the online store:

I have made a different pocket type of thing before but not an envelope. This is really cute with the scallop edge and all. After the envelope is folded – what are the dimensions? I don’t think the catalog says the folded up dimensions. Anyway, I love the stamped cups on the side too. Just really cute with the tea bag label and all. Love the colors you chose.
