I decided to make Christmas cards for my Founders Circle swap cards and the card I came up with meant that I had to do A LOT of die cutting…

And thankfully there was one new tool that helped me HUGELY with this task and that tool was the Magnetic Platform – WOW it is fabulous!

Here is my card…

My card base…is Real Red onto which I layered a piece of Basic Black cardstock…I then added a piece of  Whisper White which I textured using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to give a perfect snowy themed background.

The dress & stand…I die cut all of the pieces using Dress Up Framelits – I die cut the stand  from Basic Black and the main body of the dress from Real Red…

I then used my fabulous Magnetic Plaform to help me die cut those white trim pieces – I laid strips of white cardstock onto the Magnetic Plaform and then placed the dress die on top – it magically snaps down and is held beautifully in place by the magnet to ensure you cut exactly where you want to…

It is one AWESOME tool that I could not have done without making these cards – click HERE to find it in the online store!

I used my Glue Pen to adhere them in place onto my dress and then used the same technique to cut the belts from black cardstock.  I cut out squares of Silver Glimmer Paper for the buckle and added a little square of black to the center of each…

These are my dresses before I added them to the card bases…we have to make 120 cards total…

I then attached the dresses to the stands using Dimensionals for a little lift.

Finally the sentiment is stamped from the set Tags 4 You featured in the Holiday Catalog and punched out using the perfectly co-ordinating Bracket Label Punch…

And then I added the tags to the cards again using Dimensionals…

I was super happy with how my card turned out but was SO HAPPY when I had finished them all!
